Recycle & Up-Cycle

I offer a revamped furniture service where your selected furniture piece/s are reupholstered and restored. My services cover the London area; you can choose to drop off your item or collection can be arranged at a cost to you. You choose your design & I'll make it... it's as simple as that.  Not only will you be saving money on buying new furniture, you will also own a unique bespoke piece of furniture made especially for you. If you are looking for a particular type or style of furniture, I can source it for you; all you need to do is tell me how you would like your piece designed and leave the rest to me. Once your order has been completed you can either arrange a collection or the item can be delivered within the London area at a cost to you.

Work Shops

The McCleary Project is introducing a new and exciting programme called ‘Let’s Make It’ aimed at helping and encouraging individuals to design and create their own furniture on a low budget.

The programme consists of a series of workshops which involves learning how to restore and reupholster old furniture using a variety of materials and fabrics. It will also provide information on how to locate free recycle and affordable furniture in your local community.

'Let's Make It' workshops are primarily focused on delivering to those who are faced with disadvantages, especially those on a low income. It aims to promote self esteem, self-confidence, integration, inclusion, individuality and a sense of achievement as well as a creation of a variety of skills that can lead on to further education and employment opportunities in this increasingly popular area of furniture design.

Over the years of working with people from disadvantaged and low income backgrounds, and more recently young homeless people, I believe the ‘Lets make it’ workshops will tackle real needs in our community thereby contributing to the development of a more healthier community.
